Some of us will be celebrating Halloween soon, filling our homes with spooky seasonal decorations. As usual bats and spiders are amongst the many animals featured in those eerie ornaments. Spooky animal myth busters wants to challenge those days. 

What if these so-called 'creepy' creatures aren't what they seem?

Poor old toads! From witches’ brews to fairy tale curses, these amphibians have been getting blamed for all sorts of things. Here’s a myth that’s been hopping around for ages, what do you think?

Do toads really give you warts?

No! They cannot

The warts on a toad release toxins that help protect the toad from predators. When a predator gets a mouthful of the toxins, the taste is so unpleasant they let go of the toad.

Ravens are fascinating birds, but they’ve been given a spooky reputation over the years. Dark tales and old superstitions have painted them as sinister characters, but is this myth actually true?

Do ravens bring bad luck?

No they do not.

In some cultures they are seen as messengers, guides and protectors.
