You’re never too young to make a discovery

You can be a real scientist and discover things yourself!

Try These:

  • Do experiments – Test your ideas! What happens if you plant seeds in different types of soil?
  • Make observations – Watch carefully and write down what you see. How do birds act when it rains?
  • Keep collections – Gather rocks, leaves, or shells and study them. What’s different about each one?
  • Ask “what if” questions – What if ants could fly? What if it never got dark? These questions can lead to real discoveries!
  • Keep a discovery journal – Write down cool things you notice every day

Remember: Every famous scientist started as a curious kid just like you! The questions you ask today might help solve big problems tomorrow.

Your discoveries matter because:

  • You notice things adults might miss
  • You ask questions in new ways
  • You’re not afraid to wonder about “impossible” things
  • Fresh eyes see things differently

Keep being curious, keep asking questions, and keep looking for answers. You’re already a real detective and scientist!
