This autumn I’m taking on custom illustration and surface design projects. So if you’ve ever wanted a particular species drawn or a topic covered, now’s the time. Every piece is made just for you, with fun facts added if you like.

How does it work?
- Send your enquiry. I’ll get in touch to book a call about your project.
- Get your quote. Once I have all the details, I’ll send a quote and timeline.
- Secure your slot. Work begins once the contract is signed and a 50% non-refundable deposit is paid and received.
- Watch it come together. I’ll share progress before sending you the final piece.
How much does it cost?
Every project is quoted individually, depending on size, detail and use.
Can I ask for changes?
Whether changes are included depends on the type of project and scope of work. This is something we can discuss at the start, before the quote is issued and the contract is signed.
What if I need to cancel?
The 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it reserves time in my diary for your project. But life happens, so if your circumstances change, get in touch and I’ll do my best to work with you, including adjusting timings where I can.
Who owns the artwork?
The artwork remains my property, and I may include it in my portfolio. You’re commissioning me to create it for you, not buying the artwork itself.
Do you work with businesses?

Can I use the artwork for my business or products?
Commissioned artwork is for personal use. To use it for your business or products, you’ll need a commercial licence, which is an additional fee. If you’re planning this from the start, it’s best to tell me when you enquire so I can quote for it.
If you need artwork for a business, take a look at Illustration & Design or Surface Design, which are set up for commercial work.
Will you copy artwork or another artists style?
No. I never copy other artists’ work or styles. When you commission me, you’re choosing artwork in my own unique style.
Do you use ai to create your artwork?
No. All artwork created at Curious Kin is researched, developed, hand drawn and digitally artworked by me. I also make hand-drawn one-of-kind originals which are available to purchase here.
Can this artwork be used to train ai?
No all artwork, illustrations, patterns and designs belong to me. I do not give permission for any of it to be used to train, fine tune, test or improve any Ai or machine learning model. Or to be sampled, scraped and ingested by any database. This applies to all commissions and collaborations unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Can I use your artowrk in Ai image generation?
No. DO NOT upload my artwork to ai tools. Do not use it as a reference, style guide or input for AI generated images.
