There are 26 species of crocodilians including crocodile, alligator, caiman, gharial and tomistoma (false gharial). You can usually tell crocodilians apart due to their size, colouring and snout shape. Some are also identifiable by the presentation of their teeth.
The siamese crocodile is quite unique in that both female and male crocodiles help to rear their young. Usually it is just the female that protects the nest and tends to the young.
