To go alongside the free resources that I’ve added to My Curious Library I’ve also pulled together some of my favourite children’s tiger fiction. I’ll be adding non-fiction to this through out the week. So If you have any recommends please let me know @curiouskin_uk
Augustus and His Smile by Catherine Rayner
I adore Catherine Rayner’s illustration style and this such a lovely gentle story. I definitely recommend reading this for wind down and quiet time.
The Loudest Road by Thomas Taylor
This isn’t such a well known book but it is a household favourite. I think I have read this more times than The Hungry Caterpillar and We’re Going On A Bear Hunt put together. There’s lots of opportunities to practise being loud and quiet so quiet good for getting the last of the fizzes out! (Not one to read when a sibling is napping). I would recommend this for younger children 2 years upwards.
There’s A Tiger In The Garden by Lizzy Stewart
Definitely a boredom buster! Hopefully this like another firm favourite – The Extraordinary Gardener by Sam Boughton will ignite their imagination.
Boing Boing by Michael Rosen
This poem is found in Michael Rosen’s A Great Big Cuddle – poems for the very young. This is a great book to help work through feelings, get a bit silly and play with words.
