VISIT

Have you been to the Oxford Natural History Museum?

If not, it’s a must-visit for any budding palaeontologist. Oxfordshire has played a pivotal role in the development of paleontology over the centuries and stands as a landmark in dinosaur discoveries.

Learn about William Buckland and the first ever dinosaur named by science – Megalosaurus. If that isn’t enough incentive, one of the best ever specimens of Eustreptospondylus was found just down the road from the museum in Summertown!

Late night at the museum is AMAZING!

What can you see there?

Amazing animal and dinosaur specimens!

There are so many specimens to look at from fossils and skeletons to stuffed animals that have been well cared for. There are things to touch, stroke and make rubbings of.

The staff are amazing and they have created some fantastic trails that take you through the museum and even into the attached Pitt Rivers Museum.
