International Pallas's Cat Day

This unique species of wild cat (the size of a domestic cat) can be found across Asia, primarily in Mongolia and the Tibetan Plateau. They are habitat specialists living near to rocky terrain, using this to their advantage when hunting for small rodents and mammals. They can survive in extreme cold conditions due to their thick fur.
