Whose egg is this?

April Edition | Weird and Wonderful World of Eggs

This April I’ve decided to explore the weird and wonderful world of eggs. Now for most of us when we think about eggs we probably conjure up images and feelings of familiar objects like this nest above, but the eggs that I want to share with you come in all shapes and sizes.

They won’t all be found in a tree or on the ground, some will be in the most unlikely of places.

To make it more interesting I’ve set you a challenge to help the whole family get involved.

Can you solve the who the egg belongs to before I reveal the answer?

We are a couple weeks into our challenge but I’ve only shared one egg so far. So you have plenty of time to get involved and take part in the egg mystery.

To help you get started I’ve added in the first egg here for you below. All the other eggs will be shared via my facebook and instagram feeds.

A creamy coloured hard shell egg that is oval in shape with orange/rusty red speckling. The appearance and size can vary a lot of this. Above the egg is the title 'Whose egg is this?'

Do you need a little extra help?

Keep reading for some extra clues. The animal that lays this egg only lays 1 egg a year. The size and markings on the egg vary a lot. The egg and the hatchling have 2 doting parents that will look after it.

Are you ready to be an egg detective. Here are your clues. The animal that lays this egg only lays 1 per year, size and markings vary and this hatchling will have 2 doting parents.
