Did you know?
There are roughly 250 species of bee in the UK.
Over 90% of those are solitary bees that do not live in colonies. Instead a single female will build and provide for her own nest. Solitary bees will nest in the ground or aerially in the stems of plants, dead wood or walls and bee hotels.
