Despite over 7,500 species of frog world wide, in the UK we only have two species of frog – the common frog and a successfully reintroduced species the Pool frog, (the UK’s rarest amphibian). 

In the UK we have two species of sparrow the House sparrow and the Tree sparrow. House sparrows are commonly seen in urban built up areas whereas tree sparrows are usually found in rural areas near farmland.
