Despite their name, Koalas are in fact a type of marsupial not a bear. They carry their babies known as joey’s in a pouch.
Do you know someone who loves poo fun facts?
When koala joeys are ready to start eating solid food, their mums feed them a special type of poo called pap. This pap is made in part of the mum’s intestine and contains helpful microbes and bacteria. These microbes help prepare the joey’s tummy so it can digest the food they eat.
